So, our CB XL had issues with printing and it seemed like it was the firmware (rapid switching between menus, Y X axes randomly moved, when we actually managed to start printing, the printing process randomly stopped). First time we did the on/off manuver but it didn't help, so we wanted to reset the LCD's panel, but there was only one button which we thought that's the reset. The LCD is now blank after turning it on and we took a better look at the LCD board and it said ERASE on that button. I know we have to reupload the firmware to the CB, but every instruction says that theres a reset button too, but our XL only has one button/board. How should we upgrade the firmware from this point?
Should we just simply long press the button on the controller board too, then we update with CraftPrint?

Please follow these steps:

1, Turn on your CraftBot, even if you don't see anything printed on the screen press the erase button on the main panel and on the LCD panel. It is safe to press couple of times just in case.
2, Turn off your CraftBot
3, Run the latest CraftPrint (1.14)
4, Connect your CraftBot to your PC through USB
5, Turn on the CraftBot

Now CraftPrint must recognize the printer in firmware update mode

In CraftPrint's "..." menu select the option: Update firmware from server.
Note that CraftPrint is running most reliably on Windows OS.
